I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
